D I D wheels

Noticed my wheels had  D I D stamped on them, what are the chances they are aluminum?
I farted and made my son cry.

Shouldn't be that hard to see if they are aluminium?
How exactly do you teach abstinence though?
It's like beating a dead cow, it's fun, but it doens't really get you anywhere.

The stock steel rims were all DID as far as I know, and have DID and the size (like 2.5 - 18) stamped near the valvestem hole. Try a magnet.

Check with a magnet if you're not sure.

The 75-76 GL1000 (Goldwing) wheels came with aluminum DID rims. They look quite a bit different than the stock steel rims on Hondas; the aluminum rims are dull matte while the steel are shiny chromed, and the sides of the aluminum rims are wide and flat, as opposed to the narrow, gently radiused steel rims.

And my personal way to judge the difference between alloy bits and steel bits on a thirty year old bike? If it's not rusty, it ain't steel!  :D

a aluminum rim where the bead seats t flat area is usally shaped different from a steel rim. A stock 75 DID rim is steel for sure.
