750 Pillion Grab Bar
« on: June 13, 2011, 02:23:23 AM »
Has anyone measured the dimensions of one of these bars?

I have had my name on a wish list for one of these items with a couple of suppliers for some time, but it seems that they are just not going to supply after market bars any more. So, I figured I will have to get one made by a metal shop.

If there is anyone out there who has had the same dilemma, and measured one up (including all the angles), then I would really appreciate the plan.

Thanks
Mal

Hi smooth

Honda only made one type of pillion grab rail for these beauties , but I guess I should have made it abundantly clear what I was referring to so the helpful folk on this forum would not be hopelessly confused ;)

well mr. xsmooth, if you are talking to me then the answer is no i did not just screw the plate into the seat. i fabbed up a sweet little bracket to mount the taillight and plate to.  the bracket fits under the seat and bolts to the frame on both sides.  maybe you can see it better in this photo. the first photo shows the bracket, plate, and light hanging upside down next to the tire.  so you can see the bottom of the bracket.  the taillight is white when not in use.  led's.  the whole thing does snug up real close to the seat, that's for sure.

I'm confused. Do you need want a stock OEM CB750K2 grab bar?  If so I have one for a price.

You refer to aftermarket bars, I didn't know there wre any.

I want a stock OEM grab bar for a K2. As they are impossible to find in Australia I was looking to fabricate one.

That said, Terry in Australia may have one. He is checking for me.

If that does not pan out, I will be in touch with you.

Hope he's got it for you. That would be best for sure.

I've done a lot of biz with Terry. Buy and Sell.

Let me know. Unfortunately the freight is high, and the grabbar won't fit in a Priority box.   :(
