I am planning to double nut these studs to remove them from the head. Any idea?

You really don't have the removable OEM spigots that i showed you. That pipe is simply set up/made that way to be installed with the OEM spigots removed, as was the case with most after market pipes. My after market pipe is (was) the same way. I installed it with 8 keen black allen head bolts from ACE Hardware. remember that you have to place NEW copper ORings exhaust gaskets in the head before installing the pipe. The old ones may still be in there crushed, and you may have to pick them out with a ... pick.

I'm kinda partial to 4-1 from the era, esp Kerker and RC. So if you're not going that route, anything else you do will be fine and is always doable if you want it bad enough.

I have purchased this YOSH style 4 into 1 black from Carpy. I think they run around $450 or so, they also have Simone selling them now on Ebay. There is a video or two on Youtube under "Carpy" showing the sound. I think they are really nice and the price is fair. Also I agree with MCrider, I purchased stainless Allen head bolts for mine at the hardware store. Dont forget to replace the copper O rings!..some people don't but you should while your there.

Loses engineering also make a stainless steel version of the Yoshi pipe (it's made by the same person that was making Carpys pipes at first) that's two peices and they are also $450

I ordered from Carpy like 7 weeks ago....he said 4 weeks and still no joy, and now he's not returning my emails.

I may have to ask for a refund and go elsewhere...
I have a great deal of patience but not when someone won't even acknowledge that they have my money and when I can get the product.

Thank you all for responding... Here is a picture of the pipes and overall look we are going for (saam really liked this) so we are going with the 4 into 4s but again the stock is over $1200 and I really want to know if we can modify the cycles x long drag pipes to fit those reverse cone dunstall style mufflers., we have aslo decided to go with the double 4 inch headlights and a gunfighter style corbin seat and do a minimal LED combination license plate, tail and brake light right underneat the seat. We would like to either modify the tank with some sort of knee cut out or buy a custome tank somewhere.

Here is the picture of a bike that most resembles what we have in mind.

That will be a nice set up. As far selling parts. I sell my extra bits n' bobs on Ebay. It seems the easiest for me. I just pick up a bunch of Priority mail boxes free at the post office along with the delivery confirmation stickers and that works well. Good luck with the project!

For dual disc front brakes you can modify what you have. That's what I'm doing, you just add another caliper and disc set up. I got mine from Ebay, drilled the rotors and rebuilt the calipers and existing master cylinder. You can keep your existing master cylinder although a lot of people say switch to the GL master or an aftermarket one. You do not need to, there is ever so slightly more play but its not a big deal at all. This was also the advise I got from Hondaman and Carpy. Search the forum and there is a couple of detailed how to's on converting two dual discs.

So after a few days delay, we decided to work on shaping the tank, we had this aggressive indentation on both side in mind. We stripped the tank with aircraft striper and start banging on the right side and we thought we did a pretty good job and then moved to the right side and half war thruogh we came across this part that was really hard and wouldnt cave in and so I went at it with more force than it is recommended and huge hunk of bondo broke off it! The tank had buckled right on top of the tank next to the filler neck and caved in about 2 or 3 inches in and instead of pulling the dent out and welding it they had just filled it with a cup of bondo!

So now not sure what to do next continue with pulling it out and trying to fix what we have and go forward with the project or start with a another tank that hopefully doesnt have lots of bondo work on it.

That looks to be a reproduction of the stock master cylinder. You could have just rebuilt what you had, if you had one? I rebuilt mine and painted it and polished out the cap to a chrome like finish. As far as levers you can replace them with a matching pair of aftermarket. I got some dog leg levers from TAS motorsports on Ebay that fit the CB750.
So yes you can switch out the levers as long as they are a CB fit......Also I switched to DOT 5 fluid, which maybe contoversial but if you want to preserve any painted parts it is worth looking into.

So we are almost done with getting to the frame. And so far we have made the following decisions:

--Dual front disk, got the extra caliper on eBay on it's way here then to drilling with the one we have here. Any reliable driller?
--4 into 4 exhaust, can't find the originals in decent price, new ones are $1000 and so is benjis. So will keep looking. BY THE WAY: can we fit a 1982 HONDA CB650SC NIGHTHAWK 4 INTO 4 EXHAUST PIPES into a k3 cb 750? Where can I find the measurement for both to compare?
--tried to put knee cuts in the tank but tank was badly creased right on the top middle of the left side and instead of drilling and pulling it out they filled it with a cup of bondo and so that is being used for cut and bang practice. Bought a 1975 tank but the petcock is on the left side, and the original one was on the right side. The new tank still has the original paint so we think the minor damage on it is what it is and we could work with that.
-- we have disconnected the engine from the frame but are hesitant to take out given I recently had a back surgery and can't lift anything and my son (Saam) doesn't want to be the one who damaged the engine! So we are waiting to get some help and take the engine out.
-- purchased a soda blaster and waiting for it to arrive so we can start hitting the carbs and everything else we can get our hands on!

Any help or information about the exhaust would be greatly appreciated. ALSO, I have the exhaust that came with the bike which I think is a kerker 4 into 1, it is in a good shape, how much do you guys think it is worth, what should I sell it for, minimum?

To drill my rotors I sent them to Anubis cycle, the cost was $146.00 for 3 rotors including return shipping.
I thought that was a very good price. However I notice his website is down. The guys name is Thomas Neubauer and his email address is tneubauer@anubiscycle.com If his website is down he may not receive the email.

I thought he did a great job on my rotors and I thought the price was very good so it might be worth emailing him and see if he is still drilling, good luck!

Things have been going very slow. Had granddaughter visiting, air commpressor busted and we need more hands to get the engine out. But I managed to get a set of original Dunstall 4x2 head pipes and they arrived today and they look great. I am looking for mufflers and next is e Corbin seat. They just released he gunfighter model on the early cb750 and it looks great, pricy but then again it is Corbin!
