So we are almost done with getting to the frame. And so far we have made the following decisions:
--Dual front disk, got the extra caliper on eBay on it's way here then to drilling with the one we have here. Any reliable driller?
--4 into 4 exhaust, can't find the originals in decent price, new ones are $1000 and so is benjis. So will keep looking. BY THE WAY: can we fit a 1982 HONDA CB650SC NIGHTHAWK 4 INTO 4 EXHAUST PIPES into a k3 cb 750? Where can I find the measurement for both to compare?
--tried to put knee cuts in the tank but tank was badly creased right on the top middle of the left side and instead of drilling and pulling it out they filled it with a cup of bondo and so that is being used for cut and bang practice. Bought a 1975 tank but the petcock is on the left side, and the original one was on the right side. The new tank still has the original paint so we think the minor damage on it is what it is and we could work with that.
-- we have disconnected the engine from the frame but are hesitant to take out given I recently had a back surgery and can't lift anything and my son (Saam) doesn't want to be the one who damaged the engine! So we are waiting to get some help and take the engine out.
-- purchased a soda blaster and waiting for it to arrive so we can start hitting the carbs and everything else we can get our hands on!
Any help or information about the exhaust would be greatly appreciated. ALSO, I have the exhaust that came with the bike which I think is a kerker 4 into 1, it is in a good shape, how much do you guys think it is worth, what should I sell it for, minimum?
