Ha! Thanks. So, I found that swinger by mistake. I was looking for a Dresda t-shirt or logo or whatever, and typed a google search. An active auction in the UK came up. Long story short, shes mine now. I mostly like it because its part of a bigger history(Dave Degens of Dresda).

To answer your second question... I think with most builds by any of us, they sort of take on a life or personality all their own. One mod or part dictates the next and eventually they all require a certain amount of attention. Im pretty excited today. Its the day after my birthday and a Ducati 1198 just landed in my lap. The owner wants to cafe or fighter it... or maybe a little of both. Well see how it goes.

Well the carbs 'could' fit, but there would be no, or very little, room to run pods or stacks or any sort of air cleaner. Usually you see them on hard tail or chopper style 750s that use a heavily modified frame. I figured with some fairly minor frame mods I could run some cool looking carbs. This isnt all about performance, of course, but its not all about looks either. She will get ridden hard.

I have an old issue of The Horse mag and a woman had put a set on her mostly stock Honda. I say mostly stock because while she had changed some things, tire size, ape hangars and such, no frame mods. I recall she was running a pancake type filter, which I believe Cycle X also sells.

I am also very interested by the key fob setup, but since I have already welded my ignition switch hangar on my frame and it's due back from the powder coater any day, I'm going to have to put that in the notebook for the next build, super nice touch!

Yea those are excels. They were anodized red and laced by Bob from RTR Wheel Lacing near Tampa. Great service and fast turn around.

Thanks. Those are aluminum excels that I had anodized red. The spokes are polished stainless and the hubs are polished. Bob from RTR wheel lacing put them together for me and I did the hub work.

what about the clearance from the tank? I gave that some thought too a while back when they first came out with those, but I wasn't willing to chop up my frame (or I was too lazy) and the other issue I ran into was the clearance from the top to the tank and the linkage to the lines.This guy found a way to do it:

Haha, yea thats the oil tank. And Ive read that blog. He did good work and it showed in his final build. Thats actually a DOHC though so the frame and engine placement is a little different. Where theres a will theres a way. Ive giving the throttle linkage some thought and have a plan incase there is clearance issues.

Not a whole lot to report. Its mostly the unsexy stuff now. Ordered some avons, stainless brake line, carb springs, fuel line etc. Installed some cartridge emulators and lowered the fork a bit internally:
