Hello der yall
« on: June 13, 2011, 04:49:04 PM »
Howdy,
New to the forums and I'd like to introduce myself. Another Texan onboard but grew up in Utah and Minnesota. Just started learning motorcycle mechanics from the tried and true, try to fix it but break it and then try to fix according the books, jk. I have a bit of experience working on cars but none on motorcycles. Just acquired a 75 cb750f super sport with 3300 miles on it that has been garage kept for about 18 or 19 years. It wasn't stored properly but I can can't complain as he just had gave it to me for free (much to my wife's disagreement). So here I am trying to get it back in shape :).

Welcome! But I do have a question. Can you actually use the word y'all if you grew up in Minnesota? ;-)

Great score! Get that bike cleaned up and take the wife to a local coffee or sandwich shop. Sit outside and listen to the comments and stares that bike gets! ;D  That should cure her woes and if not tell her in your best southern accent ." Im Fixin to sell it for a faster one" If she doesnt suggest just sticking with what you have !! Use your best judgement on that ;D

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Burmashave,
Lol yes they adopted me but still have a chunk of the northern life in me:) Ya know der?

Bender01,
Yes it will be cleaned hopefully within a week or two and I hope to be getting some stares from it! As for my wife lol she wants me to sell it and buy another truck? I just told her I could sell it but yes for a bigger faster one hehe she didn't like that much  ;D Wonder what she will think if I ask her, "I'm fixin to sell Her for a faster one!" haha
