Cb500t. I first heard about the bike back in 2000, and have been inquiring about it since. A buddy from high school had gotten it in 1998 and was going to "work on it". ..but he never got around to it. Was last run in 1984. Less than 7000K miles, essentially intact. We ran into each other one night at the liquor store one night and he said, "When are you going to come by and get that bike?". I went the next day. I am helping him with a kitchen remodel as a trade. I tracked down the original owner from 1984. Called and told him I have the bike, want to fix it up..he is going to come by this weekend and sign over all paperwork for me. Hoping he doesy fall in love with it...stay tuned.

its a heavy shaky..and old teknik..but looks nice..but make you like yours sohc-4 smootnes and soft riding..i sold mine..after riding it once...

1974 cb550 with a 1978 motor.

I picked this up a few years ago but it sat until January 2018. I had it pretty well done in June 2018 and spent a month or so shaking it down and getting the jetting sorted out.

The paint was gone so I repainted it. Stock LOOKING other than some electronic bits, LED bulbs, MC with stainless braided lines and a Delkevic exhaust.

I got my 1978 CB400F2 in May this year, she was in a bit of a bad way, but lots of work and new parts are bringing this ongoing restoration results, she gets a lot of attention now, predictably enough mostly from older people. I've kept her to standard the best I can, the exhaust system is something non original but outwardly identical unless you look down the hole. Rear shocks are non standard but replaced really saggy originals well. Pattern parts abound but if they mimic the originals well, so what?

My 74 cb550.
Traded 01 Ninja 500 I had given a streetfighter treatment too for this cb and a Lincoln AC-225.
35xx original miles on the clock. Yes under 3600 when i got it.
No title though.
Debating on pulling the motor for other cbs or getting a title.

I have a good friend on mine from Wolseley Saskatchewan, bikes from out there are exceptionally rust free.

Good looking bike. I have some accessories for this model somewhere in storage.

Classic accessories! Backrest and the HondaLine fairing. Had a loaded GL650I Silverwing when I was younger. Logged lots of miles behind that fairing.
