Thanks grcamana2. I was having a beer looking it over tonight and I think the 6900 miles might be for real. I think everything is stock and original except for the exhaust

and the back tire. I think the front tire is the original Dunlop Gold Seal F6 which looks in good condition but will have to go right away.

With that filter it is the years not just the mileage.
Open up the folds in one of those paper filters and you can find all sorts of crud and bug wings ,etc.,.

That is the stock 550F muffler, almost rare to see it that cond these days (very prone to rust and only made 3 years).

The bike looks fantastic but that seat looks out of place. Why not go stock?

The bike isn't mine. My friend does have the stock seat for it. He just likes this one. I know it looks out of place. He's a small guy and only has a 29" inseam. I think this seat makes him feel secure and comfy.

The muffler is stock but it has two holes on the end where it reduces down at the end. They are are on the wheel side and kind of out of site. Bike has 36k on it.

Mine had one just like it when I got it.... though I ripped it off, obv. AS well as the WindJammer and highway bars.

Back then the Japanese were far too conservative to put a seat like that on anything, aftermarket for sure.....
That seat was typical of the American market, no where near as common anywhere else....

Not sure exactly. I cant really tell the difference between super bars and euro bars, but i imagine they are one of those. They were on the bike when i bought it. I think they look way better than the tall stock bars.

Here is our newest aquisition over the weekend. My wife was happy to get this as her Mother's Day gift!!

'76 400F, bone stock with all the pieces........just need to get some new rubber, clean it up and get it running.

Remember that is 6,900 miles but 33 years!!!
Better check that oil sump for rubber cam chain roller chunks.
