Darn, I thought I was done with the "rebuild", but now realize I have aftermarket valve caps on my bike as well. So what did the originals look like? Did they have the little #8 stamped on them like the bolt heads?

(mostly stock 72)

No doubt. But its not my "thing". been trying to sell the sumbeech for months. go figure, no one is really trying to bring back the 80s with these things. oh well... makes an interesting conversation starter in my shop/shed.....

ive moved on...
I am toying with the idea of a viper fairing though....

Those are fighting words, I'd come out swinging if someone insulted me with an offer like that and the intentions of hacking up my bike lol. They'd better get the hell of my property quick fast.

My 1978 CB750k. I would say that this is "retro stock". Fairly stock + retro mods to replace some of the styling that hurt the 77/78s.

* Hagon "Classic" Shocks (to mimic the early SOHCs)
* Valley Green Metallic to mimic the early SOHC paint scheme
* K1 Bars to give it more of a sporty look like the early models.
* 77k Seat which is flatter and closer to the older ones.

I do need to get some better pics now that I have the factory seat rail on it. This summer I plan to do a big photo shoot for it!
