Hmmm "What Would Sōichirō Do?"

I like it!!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

I love the stock look.   I was at the post office and a guy circled the parking lot twice.  At first I thought he just wanted my parking spot.  He stopped on his second lap and just wanted to talk about how great the bike looked and that he hasn't seen one in a long time.  I've met several total strangers who just wanted to look at my bike.

I'm always getting comments on the bike while waiting at red lights, an old couple followed me into a shop car park to compliment me on it and a policeman even pulled me over to get a better look and tell me about how he used to have one just like it- I was most relieved as I thought he was gonna give me a ticket!

The 75 MR50 was my first bike. My son rides it now. It's hanging in there, but it just got a motor swap. The 73 750 K3 is my current bike and a work in progress.

I forgot to mention in my post, although I have met many strangers who just wanted to check my K6 out, I still seem to be invisible to attractive women.  Maybe it's like a super power.

Here's my 1970 CT70 "SOHC" HKO 4 speed Trail/70 in the world famous Candy Blue/Green.
I bought it off a ol' Nebraska farmer for 200 bucks with the motor in a 5 gallon pail. To say it was in (rough) condition is an understatement  :-*

Thanks, I'm contemplating doing another 4 speed CT Trail 70 HKO I have. Got the motor rebuilt, seat done, handlebars and headlight bucket are good. Would just need the paint d wheel and Chrome work done to be good to go. PM me if you want/need more info. I might even consider selling the Blue/Green CT you've see in this post.
Have a CB750 KO lead I might want to score on, in the near future  ;)

An almost ready daily rider for this summer.  Picked up for 1500.00 has a nice drilled rotor, Electronic ignition and a new repro not very comfortable seat haha.  I found some 4-4's some dude gave me for working on his chopper to throw on her.   Have her running, just need to bleed the front brakes and away we go!!!!   I will give her a better more stock paint job,  this silver was done pretty well but has a couple runs.  its a 75 with an early stripe obviously.

prob throw a cheapy paint job on her like this 60.00 spray bomb I did on one a few years ago.

Not necessarily.  Vehicle showrooms often have new model year on the floor before the new year.
If a K5 model was sold on or before Dec 31, 1974, it might be titled and registered as a '74.
And what if you have a 1974 K4 not sold until sometime in '75?
Would it not be sold and titled as a 1975?

Indeed that is so. In UK for example - I have in front of me the 1974 edition of "Motor Cycle Mechanics" in which is a road test/review of the newly released K2.

To put this back on track for a second...seems like Uk got the short shrift when it came to SOHC Hondas. IIRC you guys got the k2 from 72-76 instead of the k3/4/5/6 models like everywhere else.

stevo,  he was a bit surprised but when i contacted him,,  he was sorry that he sold it, mentioned it was to help put daughter thru uni....

it was built july 74 but is a k5 model with the rubber tip on the side stand and fuel tap on the left side,  there may be a couple of other things that have slipped my mind..

its a sweet bike,  always starts on the button and smooth ,  although it has a little clutch rattle when idling but disappears once fully warmed up...

I've got a very clean '74 MR50 that I just bought to be a pit bike for a summer trip to Bonneville.  No, not competing, just being a spectator again. Will post a pic soon.  Need to get an actual SOHC in the shot too.
