Will a 1976 CB550 Four seat fit a 1971 CB500K without any modification?  Thanks.

I think the seat latch is different.

Actually, I'm pretty sure everything lines up. I have a 71 500 frame and a 76 550 seat and they seem to fit each other without any issues.

The latch on the 71 500 is unique to the 71 cb500 KO.  In addition the holes in the seat where the plunger bolts in are much narrower.  I can send you pictures or just look at the fiche on one of web sites.  If you look on the David silver web site you will that the 71 KO is different than later models.
