Hi, does anyone know if a 1981 CB900F engine will work in a 1983 CB1000C frame and if a CB900C engine would work, thanks

I don't know, but for starters I'd check bikebandit or servicehonda to see if they both use the same size and length of bolts to mount their engines. Part numbers may be different, but if it lists sizes you're on the right track.
