What can I say, I HATE heat.

I have to agree. If I 'had' to choose between 100F and 0F, I would go with zero. At least you can put more clothes on. There's a limit as to how much clothing you can remove without risking arrest or offending others.  ;)

+1, I can always get warmer by putting more stuff on, I go to the pokey when I take too much stuff off.

Sure, but once you put too much stuff on you can't ride anymore.

With hot weather, once you're completely soaked with sweat, you can't get any more soaked! ;D  And then to cool off all you have to do is turn on the garden hose or pour a bottle of cold water over your head and you're fine again.

My feeling is that at least with hot weather I still have the option of working outside or in the garage or riding the motorcycle all day long if I feel like it, as long as I can accept the fact that I'm going to be drenched in sweat, which I'm fine with.  When it gets too cold, like it often did in Denver, I could only put on so much warm clothing before I could no longer use my hands or make any real attempt at being productive.

I'm sure if I had grown up in a cold climate like my wife I would feel the opposite,  but I'm a Texas boy and I love the nasty hot Summers with the massive thunderstorms that roll through.

The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.

I thought that was Mark Twain, but I guess not: http://www.snopes.com/quotes/twain.asp
