Over-priced(?) KO for sale
« on: June 19, 2011, 08:19:39 AM »
Saw this bike for sale in my neck of the woods. Seem a tad bit too much judging by the condition of the pipes, tank finish, hairline cracks on plastic and pitting on the mirrors or am I just being too picky?

$7,000 for a KO in that condition is not out of line. Looks like a nice original still with the OEM carbs and seat. I would bet he will fetch closer to $10,000 for the die hard collector. The KO is getting harder and harder to find these day. To find one in this condition is unbelievable.

I think that bike is f*****g beautiful.  It's worth whatever someone with the money is willing to pay.  It's only overpriced if it doesn't sell, but this is an auction.

I wonder if these bikes will ever go down in price.  Then again, there probably aren't too many all original early diecasts with less than 20k on the clock.

If those bids are from legitimate bidders who will actually pay if they win, then it's not overpriced, because at least a couple of people think it's worth that much.  This wasn't a hail-Mary price set by the seller like so many bikes on ebay.
