Hello everybody. I've been involved in roadracing cars for over 25years.

I owned several Hondas during my high school days. I owned a CB750SS for a few years in my early 20's and was forced to sell it when I got married. I always wanted to replace it and finally did this past January when I found one for sale in northern Fla. Purchased with only 9,064 miles on the clock, it's a great bike. Of course I had to rebuild the carbs and the brakes, replace the original Bridgestones, and polish out all the aluminum to get it going. I've put about 1,600 miles on it since March. It runs as good as I remember them running.
I also converted the front brakes to dual discs (Thanks Rangelov). I'm mostly a purist, so that will probably be the only "mod". 8)

I was thrilled to run across this site and pleasantly suprised at the number of people who still have interest in these old Hondas.

Below is the best pic I have of the bike so far (before the DDC)
If any of you come to south Georgia near Savannah, please look us up. :)

We've only been here for a year now. I lived here long ago and have been in Atlanta for the last 26 years.
I remember the radio in the helmet thing. Seems like somebody got in trouble over that for some reason.

What was the relay all about?

The relay is a ride carrying a rubber Godzilla all around the United States.  It started in Daytona at bike week and has carried the big guy all over the east coast now. I was part of the ride when some of us met at Rockingham dragway to watch a member race his bike.  You can find the trail and the progress on the forum.  some guys have really made an effort to keep the rally going

I'm sorry I missed that ;)

We used to have a stuffed monkey in one of the car clubs I was in and whoever screwed up the worst the month prior had to carry the monkey around with them everywhere they went. :o That thing traveled all over the world before it was retired.

Hopefully yours will be as well traveled :)

Im in Bluffton! 30 minutes away! I sold a 78 750f to a guy who rides it to Rincon regularly! Ive got a 77 supersport in my shop right now. Its not mine. Im working on it. The relay was fun and last Sunday I rode to Augusta myself to meet the guys from Atlanta, that I met during the relay. Its been to hot to ride for me the last few days. Please get in touch with me. Im a Chef on Hilton Head so riding will be limited till august after the tourists let up.Ive got a 74 750k and a 550k. I ride to Tybee some with my son or the pizza place at city Market on a sunday. Maybe City Market for pizza on a Sunday? Glad to meet another member locally.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Way cool dude 8). I was hoping there'd be someone close by. I ride with some of the local Savannians. They all have a variety of modern bikes. I ride into town 2 days a week for lunch with the gang.
I know what you mean about it being too hot. It's killing me after all these years in Atlanta where it never gets hot ::).
A Sunday pizza sounds good. I still don't have a helmet for my wife, but she'll let me out for a while  ;)
You can contact me through my web page @ www.yanquetanque.com.
Looking forward to meeting you :)
