« on: June 21, 2011, 07:31:35 AM »
I have bought a Yamaha Seca 2 600 1997, it starts up great and runs but the only thing is i have to have the chock half way up and i cant give it any throttle and if i do it stutters and dies. I know it is a carb problem but not totally sure how to fix it, so what should i do ?

sounds like the carbs need the jets cleaned...

the choke is allowing the engine just enough fuel to keep it running... bypassing the main jet...

thanks,
Chris

Even though you will get great advice from this forum, this other forum may be better suited for your bike - http://xjbikes.com/Forums.html

You will probably find more detailed information about your bike there.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
