And don't forget one actually won a race at Bathurst.......(think it was in the hands of Gary Thomas, but might be wrong).
I rode one once, without doubt one of the smoothest and most balanced bike I have ridden.

I restored one 1979 a few years back.

I had one for three yrs, mine was the voyager model with fairinf, bags and trunk.
was cruising through the NC evening once, one hand on the bars feet up,radio blaring,(this was at 11:30 pm), happenned to glance at the speedo,139,-140,-141,and climbing...
it was time to move gently back into riding posture and ease off the throttle but not too abruptly.

about two miles down the road i passed a trooper running radar, would have been a really expensive ticket.

these bikes are fast,I still had a little less than a third of my throttle to go and was at 141mph,and it wanted more.... I miss that bike...

So should I go get it so it will sit in the yard until the city impounds it and fines me?

Not sure what I could do with it now, Might be a good motor to put in a mg or sunbeam and run paddle shift and no reverse.

Too much work, but one part might be eorth the asking price, and as above, impound complaints fine for junk bla bla bla,.

There is a short article in one of the recent rider mags.  They had a alternator on each side of the engine.

Cool, Like an airplane,, the backups have backups.

Funny the cbx is desirable in circles. I remember a row of 10 or so  of those  that madie it to  Steamboat MC week, but you hardly see any anywhere now.

I've never had the opportunity to ride the Kawasaki 6, saw one for sale on Craig's List in Oklahoma once and thought about
checking it out, but didn't. I have the '80 CBX and LOVE the Look AND the ride.  8)

Hey Mordechai, good to see ya. Yeah, I've got that issue around here somewhere and bought it, to see how they compared them. Pretty interesting read, to me.  8)
