1978 cb125s project bike
« on: June 24, 2011, 03:20:09 PM »
a couple of years ago, i bought a $150 cb125s as a project bike...

got it home... and found that the engine was seized... so it just sat in my garage for the last couple of years....

well a week ago, i decided to start working on it...

so far i have the engine out and the top end disassembled....

i am planning to send the head to mike for some porting :)

now i am looking for a stock cb550 piston to make it a 135cc motor...

i will post some pics when i get a chance...

later,
Chris

i have one of these that sat for 26 years.  also paid 150 for it.  it runs, though i still have some issues with stalling and hot starts, which almost for sure are elec issues (there is another thread dealing with that right now here with a bike named LOLA).  i'm interested in your progress as this goes along, please let me know if i can lend any help/advice.  they are such cool little bikes.
