CB350F crush washer?
« on: June 25, 2011, 09:05:36 PM »
I recently got my first bike, a 1973 CB350F.  I'm preparing to change the oil and oil filter for the first time.  Is there a crush washer I need to replace, or any thing I should know about replacing the filter?  I know this is pretty basic stuff, but I don't want to f*** anything up.

What size is the hex nut for the filter? If is is the small one (14mm), only use a 6 point socket or you will have problems. BTW, buy the new filter from Honda and it will come with new "O" rings.

If this is your first time with this bike you should drop the pan and check out the screen and clean out any sludge

there is a crush washer for the drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan.  I think my local dealer had them last time I looked...  Don't lose that seat (I think that's what it's called) that goes next to the filter.
