77 - 400F Wiring Diagram
« on: April 26, 2006, 07:00:59 AM »

Anyone have a decent wiring diagram for a 400F?  I have downloaded a diagram from the original service manual but it is too "fuzzy" and I can't tell which colors the wires are.

I can scan it, but it's going to be a large file if I use enough resolution to see the minicrule printing. Can the site host it for posterity? This keeps coming up, maybe those of us with a manual and a scanner could send in the wiring manuals. A library of those would be really useful.

I have one that is a pdf and it's pretty neat cause it's in color and you can turn different systems on and off to limit it to what you are looking for.

It's at home.  I'll try to e-mail it tonight, but it might come tomorrow.

Take a look at www.kojaycat.com  - he produces large scale wiring diagrams in colour, makes it very easy to trace individual wires (unless your harness has been "modded" by a previous owner!.

I was looking for a diagram with the color code for the oroginal wiring.  I'll check into the manual and see if there is any difference with the bikes which were sent to the US and the UK.  Some wiring may be different depending on where the bike was shipped.  For Canada  (where I am ) the bikes are the same for both Australia and Canada.

Thanks all

Yeah... that's the one I was talking about.  You see on the bottom, middle-ish... on the pdf you can turn the systems on and off (showing and hiding them).
