76 750k supersport rectifier question

Hi,

   I live in the Philippines and its fricking hard to find parts for my 750k SS.  my rectifier is bad and some of the locals are saying that i can use one from a yamaha or almost any other kind of bike. Is this true? help.


I am new to this club thanks for letting me in.
