Egads. You would call me on that remark. I don't know at this point if I'm ready to let 'er go. I'm wanting to buy a used bmw r1100rt so that my wife and I can do some road trips, but I would have to sell my 550 and my 2000 shadow. I have more fun on the old bike because I have so much of my heart into restorinig it. The Shadow sits and the 550 gets me to work (four miles away) every day. I'm not sure what a reasonable price would be. It runs good and I have had the tank painted and reupholstered the seat and now I like it waay to much...

I know what you mean. Finished my 75 550 middle of July last year and rode it 2000 miles in 6 weeks. Rode to work (65 miles round trip) whenever I could. So what do I do? Buy a 74 550 for $100 and put $1600 in it to making it to pretty to ride. I know I am sick, but it is nice to know I am not alone.

I'm watching another 550 on Ebay in Fla. Right now. I would like to build it from the ground up if I end up winning it. Like to try a mild cafe this time and keep my current bike stock.
