Topic: High pressure oil line recommendations?

Kate has an aftermarket oil cooler on her put on by a PO. It works pretty good for the low budget item it seems to be. However it does not have threaded fittings, it's got "nipples" and the oil lines are held on with hose clamps.

Locally, I can only find 1/2" fuel line that will fit the nipples. Not the best!!!!!!!!! Only lasts about one season, sometimes not that long. Can anyone recommend a good quality high pressure oil line that will do the job, and a source for same, and not delaminate and spew oil on us us out on the highway?  Needs to be something that will work with hose clamps. (My local parts place sayz hydraulic line won't work with clamps, has to be fitted with a machine to seal the jucture)

Eventually I intend to replace the oil cooler with something set up for braided steel lines and proper fittiings, but in th meantime I gotta use Kate for daily transport so I can earn the money to buy parts.......and food.....and fuel.....and .....well you get the picture, I'm sure.

Where I live I use Tractor supply any farm supply store should be able to fix you up. And for about $10 to $20 more have crimp on fittings just take your fittings with you so they can match them up. Total was about $40 for mine.

Negative! The "nipples" on the cooler are integral. Although the ones on the oil filter adaptor can be changed out.

Well that is a bummer. I wonder what kind of pressure is there 50 -60psi.Still you can get the hydraulic hose some are more flexable than others they will have and it will hold up better than what you are using now

Wish that would work! Unfortunately when I said this a low budget cooler....I wasn't kidding!! It seems to be pressed steel and pretty thin stuff.

My oil gauge claims I'm running 40 - 70 PSI....for whatever that's worth.
