To be honest I have a bit more than that in it.
After the purchase price...add $75 for a battery...$60 for new tubes installed....$80 for title transfer and taxes....$50 for gas to pick it up....it adds up...even a bargain adds up quickly.

renting a home depot truck + gas $60

$140 speeding ticket going there

needs tires
battery
exhaust tip
carb rebuild

A nice score.  They do show up and go to the quick, the lucky, or the persistent.

With my $500 score I was persistent and lucky. Nothing quick about it,  took a few months of persuasion. ;D

The deals are still there but you have to be quick.  Picked up this k1 for $450 with title.  I was going to use it for parts until I got her running.  I think this is going to be a stock resto in a couple of years.
