By the way, does this bike looked lowered in the back? Also, what's your take on the engine guards? Do most 750's have them?

I picked up one a year or so ago that had shorter shocks on the back and had the fork tubes dropped about an inch in the top clamp.  My first thought was to ditch that and go original but it's kind of grown on me.  I'm barely 5' 7."  I haven't gotten to the project yet, but I just don't like the way it makes it sit on the kickstand...  Luckily it has a centerstand too though.

I think it might have "lowering blocks" on the back. The angle of the shocks look further back than usual. If thats the case, you just take them off and re bolt the shocks into their original position.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought about the shocks too. Sounds like a pretty simple fix though

I got it home. Turns out the voltage problem the kid was talking about was just the turn signal buzzer  ;D Charged the battery and the bike fired right up. $500, title and it runs, and runs well. I even drove it down the road and back. Original master worked fine too. The tank is completely trashed from a botched knee dent job. Will all K0-K6 tanks fit?  I would really prefer to change it out instead of bondo - ing the crap out of it. Other than the tank. Unbelievable. Not a speck of rust on the rims, fenders, or shocks. I am stoked. Best buy I have ever made, hands down. Pics tomorrow.

Great news Rob! 1969 -1976 K model tank will fit but the petcock changed from the right side to left in 1975. So I would look for a 1975-1976 K gas tank.  ;D

Thanks ZZ. I have to be honest, this bike is huge to me. I weigh about 175 lbs. and had a tough time pushing it into the garage and taking a short spin around the hood. A far cry from my zippy little 400f.  ;D It did have lowering blocks which made it a little easier. It will need a tank, a seat, and maybe a good cleaning. Other than that this thing is ready to go!

Fantastic. You can probably find a seat here or on feebay. Hell you can spend more than half of what you spent on the whole bike on a new seat. I'll keep an eye out for a deal.
