Compression readings
« on: June 29, 2011, 09:35:04 AM »
I've looked around the forum a bit and I can't find the min/max and average compression readings for a K6. The readings on my bike are 120 across all cylinders. Is this low or below average? I believe the shop manual says around 170psi max. but I'm not sure what model that pertains to or all models??
Thanks,

The spec I go by is that all cylinders are within 10% of each other.  Since you are spot on the same across the motor, it's time to stop worrying and ride!!

I'm sure there is a spec in the Honda shop manual, but unless you have exactly the same tester as the shop uses, the number will be meaningless.

If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
