Unknown Art pistons
« on: July 06, 2011, 02:13:41 PM »
Hi I found in my cb 250 racer  this type of piston and  couldnĀ“t identificate it. Piston dimensions: bore 64 mm, piston pin diameter 15 mm. Pistons looks like CB 350 pistons, but have reduced ring on the top. My second idea is that is overbore CB 77 pistons. Could somebody identificate it and where i could buy it? Thanks for answer.

Is it a Kawasaki piston? A Lot of racers over here use kawasaki pistons in their 250 and 350 race bikes. I wouldn't have clue what the model would be if it was a kawasaki!

I have an old set of Honda CB360T pistons that are marked ART.
These are 67mm with 16mm pins.
From what I understand, ART made pistons for Honda back in the day.

Here is one on ebay that I just found (for a CB360) and is marked ART.

Here is another one for a CB350 which looks very similar.

Yeah, those are neither 360 or 350 pistons. They aren't kz650 pistons either. I can't tell what they are.
No.

They don't look at all like quaker pistons, though.

I'm tempted to put my money on these.
Not identical but they look very close.
Just typed "Honda CB77 Piston" on ebay and quite a few came up.

OK, OK, my bad wording, was just trying to be constructive.....should have been more specific :)

meant that if he is looking for replacements for those pistons with destroyed ring lands, then KZ700's might be good, same basic dims.....  ;)

Peace and grease,
