Anyone sell individual gaskets?
« on: July 01, 2011, 10:19:36 PM »
I'm in need of a cylinder Head gasket for my 550. Is there anyone that sells the individual gaksets? Every store that I have looked at only sells the whole top-end gasket set, Which I don't need because I replaced all the top end gaskets and o rings.

Z1 Enterprises now has a laser gasket cutter. I sent them a set of 750 cases so they could make and offer individual gaskets: they planned on doing the 500/550, too. Maybe check with them?

Just looked up the price for a cylinder head gasket at my local Honda shop.... 59 bucks? I can get a whole top end set for a little over that price.

Just checked z1 enterprises and they have the whole top end set up for 58.00.
Has anyone had any experiences with these gaskets? And if so, which brand are they. I have read that some of the gasket brands are of lower quality, and tend to leak.

I think Steve said they were using Cometic head gaskets for their single head gaskets. The single [other] gaskets they sell are made on their own laser cutter.
The top end kit they have: ask their Tech Support guys, they will probably tell you whose kit it is. They are good folks there, in my experience. And, if you do have troubles with it in the end, they will want to know about it so they can do something to fix it for others, too.
