CB 350 Front Hub in 550 Rim for a 550.
« on: July 01, 2011, 10:18:52 AM »
Has anyone laced in a 350 front drum hub into their 19" front rim and run it on a 550?  I'm going to do this, just thought I'd ask around and see if anyone else had done this and problems they may have ran into.

Thanks.

I haven't done this, but you may have problems with the spoke angle where it meets the rim.  The drum has a larger diameter than the stock hub so the spokes will meet the rim at a more acute angle.  The holes in the dimples may not be able to accommodate that angle.

Let us know how it goes,

Thanks John,

I just picked up the donor wheel.  Gonna be a little bit before I start on it, but will post pics as I get into it.
