CB750K1 - Spark Advancer - Lubricant??

I disassembled the spark advancer (pic below) to clean the assembly of dirt and grime.  It feels like the assembly is lubricated with grease, but it could be old oil.  I looked in the shop manual and I could find no reference concerning lubricating the assembly.  Anyone have any thoughts?

  • CB 750 K0 ( always thought it was a K1!) + CB750K8

Steel on steel mechanism, needs no oiling..... in fact do not oil, just clean and verify it moves freely, that's my understanding.
