Europe first? NOPE! We're gonna finish summer here then it's your turn! Terry has been put on alert. 1000 miles one way - that would include you in the Double Iron Ass Club with me. After your summer it's Europe's summer turn.

My hope has been to get there/finish by our Labor Day. That would give us ~6 months. Not sure how it'll finish up. All up to the riders.

Hmm maybe we could do an across New Zealand, I was thinking top to bottom but with the shortage of riders that doesn't seem feasible.
It's like mid winter here now, -3 frost this morning and didn't lift until afternoon brrrrrrr.

Anyone seen the whereabouts of that crazy damn lizard?

Well, my next international question would be: New Zealand or OZ first?

I'd like to see Godzilla do both. I wouldn't expect you guys would be able to do the entire countries like we're doing in the States. So it would be up to you guys to formulate a plan, enlist riders and ride what is possible. You'd have your entire summer to see how much ground you could cover before shipping GZ to Europe.

Geeting my thinking cap on Gerry, our summer won't start until November, though October isn't too bad usually. Biggest problem is the distances between known SOHC4 owners/riders.

Maybe GZ could do some local area rides in Oz and ride UPS to the next area. Not as cool as on a 750 but do able.

There's a SOHC club in Victoria that is reasonably big and well organised and has members in most states,  maybe we should send them an invite for the ride.....I'll look them up....

Don has a valid idea considering the vast distances and minimal number of riders. We'll leave it in your hands to make it happen. I've often said there are 2 unofficial rules: have fun and only a SOHC4 may carry Godzilla. I have never brought up Brown but believe me there has been a Plan B in the back of my mind should the need arise.  ;) Now with all that said there have been a handful of us riding over 1000 miles already with one rider whom I will not name breaking the 2000 mile barrier. I really need some company on that list  ;D

Another day's ride would get me over 2000.  But if the relay is back to here around Labor Day, I'm going to have a conflict.

Yes I have been thinking about this today Jerry, it may be that I can get GZ couriered around NZ to get some kiwi miles in. If that is allowable I think we are onto a winner, now I just need to hook up some far flung riders, Scunny, Fishman Phil, Toycollector and a few others.
What sort of time frame do you envisage for GZ to get into the lower Pacific area?

I'm still waiting to see if my wife gets the job in Oz that she applied for. If so, GZ can ride with my bike across the ocean, or I can take him on the plane. We thought we'd find out about the job last week, but still no word. Maybe today? If she gets it, I think we'll be headed there around the end of September or beginning of October.

Radam,

That would be just too perfect.

Hush,

Expecting/hoping to be completed here around 9/1 MAYBE. August is kinda unknown at this stage. GZ has slowed somewhat but he's on a roll. We have a good mix of weekday riders and weekend riders but he slows down if no one is able to ride during the week. I haven't looked ahead to see the schedule of Team Northern and the trek across central Canada along with the ensueing handoff to Team Pacific Northwest. Looking too far ahead is counter productive to a point.

Would it make sense for Godzilla '11 and Godzilla '12 to ride together in the Southern Hemishear?  in other words, should The World Tour 2012 start down under?
