Chrome cooling fins for 500, 550 and 650's

Hi everyone,

Seem to be aftermarket chrome cooling fins you can attach.  Just curious, where do these mount?  Do they help with cooling?  Or impede cooling?  Do they look cool?  Does anyone have a picture of something like this on a bike?

Not going to get these, but interested nonetheless,

they look as tho made out of the grate from an open fire. They mount anywhere but on my bike. Do they work, well probably not.

I don't know how those mount ???....they do look cool 8)...they  DO  block needed air to cool your motor >:(

I think whitney used to sell these.  Although I remember for a 750.
