carb repair revisited
« on: July 04, 2011, 08:18:04 AM »
I have posted this before but for some of you that hasent seen this, here ya go

If you have ever broken a float tower and wondered what your going to do now,
and dont want to go and track down a used carb or a bank of carbs to replace one body

Here are some pictures of a repair that I just finished

I use 4043 filler rod, .015 in dia and a high powered laser system
Its stronger than before it was welded because its a much better aluminum.
There is very little heat involved because of the laser welding technique

other members have used this and have said they are very satisfied in the results
PM me if you have any questions

thanks
Jim
