The silver colored right hand clutch perch-controller looks to a non stock replacement as it should also be black.May have been broke in an accident etc.$1800.00 seems pretty high to me for non stock paint etc. Good luck on it though.

I think the out of alignment look, is from the forks not being straight ahead, but I COULD be wrong. I'll sure check that out, if I get over there to see the bike and see for myself. One question I DO have, for those who would know, why am I seeing a screw on top of the headlight, is the headlight on upside down? Is that possible? See for your selves, am I right about this?

The more I look at that picture, the more it DOES look like things are out of alignment.  Could it just be that the clamp bolts on the tree, need to be loosened and things lined back up?

The screw on top of HL hosusing is correct, there is also one on the bottom lt. and bottom rt. they are the mtn. screws for the hlamp bulb.

Yeah, I figured that it was to mount the bulb, if I remember correctly, those are usually on the sides of the others. Maybe I am wrong, but it just SEEMS like that's the way I remember them. Thanks for the input.

I'll tell you, things are really starting to add up, on this one and since the owner is saying (in the listing) that he just wants to sell it (because it is too heavy for him to be comfortable with) and get his money out of it, I doubt that he will be willing to drop his price much, if at all.

I guess you just need to go see it and talk to the guy about the price. Did you get the 78F or was that one a maybe also?

This one, seems to be raising all kinds of issues and I'm not as excited about it as I was initially. I posted it (and the other one) here, to get input and opinions. And that's what I got and I am glad for that. I am now looking more at the '78 model and yet I haven't heard back on that one.

This one, the guy (in the listing) the owner said he bought it and realized it was too heavy more him, that he had trouble moving in back out of his driveway and just wanted to sell it and get his money out of it. SO, I really don't think he will be wanting to come down (at least not much) on his price.

The other one, had a Windjammer and a trunk on it, the guy took that stuff off and wanted to put it back stock. It runs, but carbs need to be cleaned out, there's no headlight, front turn signals or mount and it has that "King and Queen" seat on it. It also appears to have a 4 into 4 exhaust system. There's no title, but he will give a bill of sale and I don't see a problem with getting a title.

I'll let you all know what comes out of this. And, I appreciate YOUR offer as well, nice to have "Neighbors".  ;)  Bill

I'm wondering if that bike has been dropped.  My 650 was dropped by the PO, and it had VERY similar damage.  Bent handle bar, turn signal, instrument cluster, right side cover was missing....I'd ask since those "tweaks" look way too familiar.

You know, that is very possible. After all, comment was made that it WAS a bit heavy for them to handle, when backing it out of the garage.

Also, I did get an email about the bike actually being a '75 model and the title had gotten lost in the mail, so the listing was pulled until the new title comes in.

Well, I got an email from the seller of the '75 750F that was originally listed as a '73. The title had been lost in the mail and it was realized that it was indeed a '75. Anyway, I am not in the position now, to go for it, but as soon as it is posted again, I will post it here, to see if anyone here Might be interested to see if a deal can be made. Just thought I'd give a heads up.  ;)
