Well King.. we all know what is under your paint..!!

Seriously you guys seem intent on butchering tanks.... there is guys can fix them without gutting them.. and there is an old invention called the Stud Spotter that  eliminates drilling holes in your tank..

But it would be cooler to leave the dent, put a  preserved scorpion over it, then dam and fill with resin to original contour, then polish it out.. good to go..!!

The stud welder works wonders. No drilling or cutting. $120ish from Harbor Freight. Mine paid for itself with the first job. Small parts like tanks should oughta be strapped down when using the puller on the studs, though.
Any idea who what or why put a dent like that in the aft end of the tank?

I am thinking that it may have been rear-ended hard or a bad endo...

I mean unless an elephant or a rhino was on it.. that is seriously large for a balls dent !

We had a guy at school in 72 ish had a really sweet DT 250 or 350..just to one side of center rear of tank, there was a very smooth balls dent.. bot the size of thumb and  forefinger put together..!
Hey Steve W with the nice orange DT..if you are out there.. where you ever able to have kids..???

Apparently the last owner weighed in at 400lbs
. The dent was for his mid section
