« on: July 11, 2011, 05:49:45 AM »
Will a spoked wheel and rotor off of a cb750f2 1977/1978 fit on my  cb750f1 1976. I stripped out the bearing retainer in the rear wheel hub on my bike plus my rim was bent so homage order one off of eBay

I don't think the 77/78F had spokes. If you're finding spokes from a 77/78 I think it's off of a K. I have a 78F and it comes with the mag wheels. (I think that's what they're called) I'm pretty sure that the K had a drum rear brake. I haven't done much with different year models, so I may be wrong.

well....the 77-78, F2-3 has "Comstar mags", Dual disk brakes, the F1 has single front disk and spokes,, you would have to have the F2-3 front forks to make it work.

Yes, but it is more complicated than a simple direct swap. This info I can not provide. There are others on here that have done this and made it work. What did you find when you used the search function? Provide us with links so that we may help you check it out.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Like the others have said the F2 did not come with spoked rims.  A rear spoked rim with a disc is from an F0/1.  The rear disc is the same for all the F bikes so it is either misidentified or someone mounted an early model F rear rim to a later model F.  My guess is it would fit but use your original spacer in case that was altered(?) to fit the later model F.
