New Paint on the K5
« on: April 30, 2006, 02:26:23 PM »
Now I know this is not anywhere near the stock gold sunrise color. This is a specialty Honda color that does not happen too often even in the wild. In bright sunlight it changes to a gold highlighted appearance.

This has what I think is jet black under coat, two layers of gold metal flake and two layers of silver metal flake, with a Kandy Red transparent over it all.

I know this is not close to the stock color but, really who gives a Sh*t. This is my daily driver and it does look 100 times better than the way it looked before.

For those who are paying attention the right cover is bull #$%* as I need the right side or any side script front as well as the right red diamond. ;D Photo shop is nice.

I believe you, where other wouldn't ;D  Just make sure you post some pics when the sun shines on the gold.

I know the feeling, except its real nice and sunny here and I haven't received my new pistons yet :'(.  But at least the nice weather is allowing me to bead blast the frame and other bits.

Nonetheless this is a Bad Ass paint job. The color is taking a little to grow on me, but now that it has - I do like it. I was looking at it and decided that painting the stock stripes back on it would be way too much black and dark colors.  ;D

I think it would be kind of cool have a paint job that changes colour depending on the light source.
