Fuel Delivery Problem? HELP!!
« on: July 06, 2011, 11:47:29 AM »
Here's the deal, put a set of sohc carbs on my 81 honda dohc, there seems to be an air bubble in the line that works its way back and forth from carb set to carb set, pics are of set up as i have it ran, it idles great, fires right up, seems to rap ok when sitting in neutral but runs #$%*ty going down the road under a load, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

The air bubble has nothing to do with it.

Jetting issue is my guess.  But, can't see what airbox, etc. you've got...

Are those cut up pieces of radiator hose you're using as intake runners?  Sweeeeet.  :)

By the way, welcome aboard.

No air box as of now, (gonna go individual filters), yes those are rad hoses, with inserts so the hose dont collapse, (liked the look lol), and if it matters the exhaust ends just before the collectors. Hmm jetting, this set did come off a running sohc cb750.
Thanks, a new place to start.

Different motorcycle (even if it WAS a 750cc motor), open carbs, stubby open exhausts....

Your jetting won't even be close.

And, when you get air filters (whatever you go with) and an exhaust, it'll all be off, all over again.
