They look pretty good.  I'm not familiar with the "Jet Coat" procedure, can you explain?

That's just what they call it. Its a high temp coating along the lines of powder coating. There are a huge selection of colors.

From Cerakote:
    Excellent corrosion protection
    Increased hardness over conventional finishes
    Excellent color stability
    Maximum adhesion
    Scratch resistant
VOC exempt in all 50 states
    Smooth, consistent finish
Wide range of colored and metallic finishes
    High temperature clears also available
    Made in the USA

I've had it done to my yz250f pipe and its held up really well through the woods and dirt.

My only regret so far is not taking before pictures of the inside of the tank and carbs. A lot of acid and lacquer thinner were used. Also, not having a good camera other than my iphone and gopro.

$200 after sitting for 20 years, about the right combo. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I cleaned the fork tubes and polished the rods up to get rid of a few little tiny marks that could cause seal leakage.  Against my better judgement, I'm painting the tubes with epoxy hard black enamel from pj1. This stuff dries very hard and actually looks good. It also fills minor blemishes. I may put a more modern front end on later and my powder-coater is taking forever so I didn't feel like waiting 3 more weeks for my stuff by adding things to his to do list.

I'm also chopping the fender. I was going to not use one at all, but if i feel like getting sprayed in the back with dirt and rocks I'll just take my Buell out for a spin.

The seam will be directly under the grab bar. This should provide me about 5 inches of usable fender. Also a good spot to mount a taillight using the factory holes.
