Hi Guys,

I am a bit in doubt on this so I have a question for the experts; is this a genuine CR rear brake ( kitversion ) or just some aftermarket piece ?

The TGA one was only single leading shoe, this one is a twin leader.

Appears to be an Italian repro. Does not have the HM Trademark in the casting.

I'm not sure where the trade mark would be but I would have thought it would have been on the inside.
It does look old and mimics this repo one that was cast from an origional one.

Sander,

In my opinion it is a genuine CR part, although admittedly i never saw one in real life.
The following picture is of a genuine CR kit rear wheel hub and brake plate.

This part resemble the one above and you can see that is has some markings on the brake shoes and inside the hub.
Though you can see the differences ecspecially on the "air scoop". This type of air scoop i have seen on several bikes so it could be just another kit version but of that i am not sure.

I have seen other versions

Look similar to my Italian replica brake plate just nowhere near as nice and shiny :D

BTW Jimmy - TGA is based in France now so best not to make a personal visit to buy as you'd be in the wrong country!

It was sold on ebay for US $761.00  :o
guess the new owner had the other parts laying around ( shoes lever HUB etc. ) and really needed this last part  ;).

This one shown in the two pictures of original post look to be a real part.
