I've changed the oil in my current two bikes dozens of times and I couldn't tell you off the top of my head exactly how much either of them takes, because I don't have to know. I get four quarts, pour in three, run the engine for 10-20 seconds to circulate, let it sit for a few minutes to level off, check the level and add enough to fill.
