I took the front wheel off to get a new tire put on, and it came apart just fine. I had to let it sit without the front wheel for about two weeks due to some work travel. When I put it back together, there's now a gap that wasn't there before. I'm pretty sure that I have all the parts and that it's put together right-according to the book. Is it possible that the forks drifted apart over time or when I took the axle out?
The gap is pretty small, only a quarter of an inch or so.
