Suzuki Gauges on CB750?
« on: June 29, 2011, 07:25:58 AM »
Is it possible within limits of practicality to put a single clock Suzuki speedo/tach, onto a CB750F3.  I'm trying to get proper fit of my clubman's so want a single gauge,  a  vintage look and not an Acewell unit.

I really depends on if the speedo and tach drives are the same ratios as the Honda gauges. If they are then the swap should work just fine.

However, I don't know how easy that information is to come by.

cb750 has a 4:1 tach and a 2240:60 speedo iirc and I think the suzi might be the same tach, speedo idk though.

Ya thought the tach's were compatible according to some things I read but calibrating the speedo prob wouldn't be possible.  Any chance Honda made a single clock that might work on my CB?
Thanks

Yeh Cb450 Black Bomber's had them but good luck sourcing one and relying on a 40+ year old instrument to work properly.
I don't like Acewells either. Want old school with a modern twist? Check this out (don't look at the price though). Cheers guy.
