Yup, I'm about .5 - 1mm too wide on my current covers and without shaving down the outside of my current dust covers there is no way its going on.

I havent tried using my axle grease on the outside of the cover though, that may do it :)

Chris- doing your front fork seals?  I am gonna need to do mine on my '77 550k..  The Clymer manual is a little vague with respects to the use of a 'special tool'.  How hard was it to get the forks apart/together.  Did you need any special tools?

Actually my fork seals are fine.  Its the Dust boots that must be aftermarket and are too wide in diameter for the Daytona brace to fit.  I have another set of forks with gators on them.  I was going to see fit brace fits those and then swap the boots for the gators.  The forks I'm using now have much better tubes, the stockers with the gators have alot of rust in the tripple tree area.

Getting the old seal loose is the worst part, the other stuff is easy peasy!
