I changed my front brake pads earlier in the week, the old pads weren't agreeing with the rotor and even after putting the rotor to a lathe the pads started gauging the rotors again. I tried sanding the pads down at the time of lathing the rotor, to no avail.
I bought some EBC pads and adjusted them to spec. That being said the only way I could get the inborn pad (piston side) to fit was to remove the plastic ring that sits between the pad and piston. It was semi-damaged and not flat at all anymore. Right now I am running it without anything in its place... Is that bad? I dont have any brake noise now. I was getting a nice loud rotational noise before no matter what I tried.
