cylinder head id?
« on: August 07, 2011, 08:48:41 am »
I have a cylinder head sitting in my shed that has the # 125 stamped on top beside the cam chain.

Can anyone tell me what it's from? It is painted black, but I don't want to assume it's a 750f just because of that.

Which F would you be referring to? Paint is irrelavent since all heads can be painted.

There were 2 distinct F's. 392 on the top fin back side next to #3 would indicate a 75/76 F or 77/78 K while 410 would indicate 77/78 F. Larger intake AND exhaust valves would indicate a 77/78 F. Larger intakes only would indicate a modified non-77/78 F.

Look at how many bars are visible from side of head between fins.. are they tround or 3 oval ones?
If there is three. look at the top rearfin between 2 & 3 cylinders for a sorta oval logo  or number cast on..  also what holds the exhaust? studs or a spigot..?
