Dumb question about my carbs...
« on: July 08, 2011, 12:58:31 PM »
Ok so here goes...

My carbs have four nipples between them that look like they are for fuel line.  Two are the same size as the nipples on the bottom of the carbs and two are the same size as the petcock nipple.

Now I assume that the petcock sized nipples are for fuel but what are the other two nipples for?
:) If I ask a question and forget to post model and year my bike is a '72 CB500 :)

Jeez, total guess as to what carbs/bike you have.  But, I'll make a wild guess you are talking about the bowl vent/equalization tubes that link the carb bowls together,  And the center ones have tubes that route back to between swing arm and engine.

The bottoms are in case of too much gas in the carb. It then routs the "overflow" down to the pavement.
