carb tuning
« on: May 04, 2005, 07:45:29 PM »
evening,  on my 500/4 K1, I:

I re-built the carbs,

setting float height to 26 mm

replaced o-rings inside float bowl,

gas-air screw opened 1 turn +/- 1/4, acording to specs

engine starts, but runs rich, #1 carb blowing fuel. engine bogs down and dies as I open choke, comes back to life as I close the choke more and more.

Did you synch the carbs with a set of vacuum guages or mercury tubes?
