Personally I vote for the Camaro as I like the aggresive look more.

Depends on the model year. The new Camaros are pretty hot, I test drove one last week.
I would pick it over a new Mustang.
But the old Boss 429 Shelby Mustangs were awesome!

Those Boss 302's were bloody good cars as well mate....

Give me a good 1967 fast back Mustang with a RRS suspension package and a stroked 351 Windsor engine with a well worked pair of Cleveland heads {BOSS} and i'll race anyone.....

Mustang any day. The Mama would agree as well as she wants one! Who am I to tell her otherwise.
She always said she wanted a Porsche and bought a beautiful 944 Cabriolet which she kept for a couple of years but found the clutch to heavy,(she has a gammy knee) and sold it. She is now in the process of having a1977 Leyland Mini being fully restored from the ground up. So I must go with the Mustang, as I may yet get to drive one

the stang ended up a lard arse more than any camaro,,too much galaxie/fairlane options happend too early in the fraud,oops i mean ford aswell,they both lost the plot eventually though,,i like the early GM front suspension better though,the ford was fragile in that area,under bonnet working/clearance is much better aswell due to the front end design on the GM product.

Don't no why people think having Falcon parts is so bad. They were a terror in saloon car racing before the Mustang appeared. Boss 302 all day long, never met a Z28 it couldn't take.

i like the look of the new Camaro. never really thrilled with the Mustang but the new ones are more my style. i've driven Chevy since i was a kid so i guess i'm a bit biased. that, and my toy keep me a Chevy man.

Sorry bout that, I just couldn't resist.

To me, it would depend if you are talking "Old" Mustangs & Camaros" or the New Generation ones. Old Style Camaro wise, I'd be looking at the '69 or '70 and being a Big Block Guy, I'd have to go 427 or454. Old Style Mustang, Boss 302, Boss 429 or Shelby GT 500

New Generation, to ME, the Camaro doesn't have the Retro look down as well as the Mustang (or Challenger, for that part) The New Mustangs seem to be available with some pretty hot power trains and I have heard alot of comments that the Mustangs are built alot better.

Just MY 2cents, along with what I have heard from sources.

Okay, I understand why Bill has a thing about Mopars, but really. Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth never made anything that even came close to handling like either of the cars in the original question. Both the Mustang and the Camaro handled like they were on rails.

But my vote goes to the Camaro, because of the Falcon thing, and that I'm a confirmed GM dude.

Why is it that when talking about ABC, someone has to compare it to XYZ? I thought we were comparing American pony cars. And I understand the Ferrari and Porsche, but Honda?
