Thats mostly surface rust, however looking at the tooth profile on that rear sprocket Id suspect its got some pretty good miles, and I bet the chain does too.  Might be time to replace them based on wear, not just rust...

Really? Wow, you must have a good eye for that kind of stuff cause to me it doesn't look worn at all. Shows how much I know! Lol
