Gotta go with the others, I can't decide on just one, but for the sake of the vote, I gotta go with the skulls and crosses gig. I am SO tired of that! Geez, I dare you to try to find a better way to easily, quickly and cheaply c*ck up an otherwise good-looking rig... what are these fools thinking?!
For my part, I have to confess- my 550 came to me with the K/Q seat, long fork on a stock frame, and chrome finned engine covers. I ditched the wrist-twisting pullback bars for stockers, got a set of stock forks, pitched the K/Q seat in the trash, and it looked a lot better. I have to admit I did try the apehanger business, but if you know of a better way to give yourself a really good lower-back wrenching, I don't want to hear it. :-D Needless to say, those got sold in short order.

All of the above, however I'll order them like someone has above:

Tied:

K&Q Seat
Fairing/Windshield
Sissy Bar
Apehangers

After that:

Saddlebags
highway pegs
Crash bars
Paint doesn't bug me as it's the owner's preference, but the other stuff is TACKY!!

So, I guess I am wasting my time posting my Kinq Queen seat and ape hangers off my 550 under "parts for sale"?

The ugliest SOHC accessory?     1. Anyone fatter than me sitting behind me.  2. A crossdresser sitting behind me. 3. That biker dude from the Village People sitting behind me.   4. Me sitting behind you!!!!!!! :D ;D :D ;D :D
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

Geez Terry, your "Handle" is getting longer, like "Dapper Don" Buffo's, is this a K8 owners thing? When is Eldy gonna become "Eldar, rider of the the K8, the best model, I think"? Ha ha, I haven't seen any "K8, the redheaded stepson that nobody wanted" yet?

Anyway, I just thought of one more Terry Quail accessory, a fat red-headed crossdressing transvestite Terry Quail sitting behind you! Ha ha, just jokes mate, K8's are, er, great! Cheers, Terry, Aussie Smart-Ass!  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Okay, I have to speak up here.  All of y'all bashing the K/Q seats obviously have never had a sore-assed wife show you her "appreciation" for being able to ride comfortably behind you on a trip.

I must admit that the looks aren't that great, but the sex sure makes up for the looks. :-)

Oh, and I would agree that ape hangers are pretty sad, as is trying to "modernize" these classic bikes too much.

What? Spoiling the bike looks because you want your wife to seat confortably? You have to make one thing clear: the bike is yours, and if she wants a ride she have to adapt to what is available. What will be next? She will go to New Years Eve Party in jeans and sneakers "becase she wants to be confortable"? No way, beauty and comfort seldom go together, so you decide which one you prefer...

Raul

P.S. You start with a K/Q seat, then a windshield, then a legshield, then some saddlebags, then heated grips, then a backrest, then a stereo, and before you notice it you don't ride anymore because your bike looks like a two-wheels convertible!!!

Well said, Raul.

The most comfortable way for the wife to ride on a long trip will always be on her own bike.
I've been working on trying to get a bike for my wife, but she wants a scooter!  :P

What is it with wifes and scooters, Doris wants a scooter.  I tell her that  a 250 is the smallest thing I would put on the road.  Those step through scoots are just to.... to .... French! :D   Sorry I meant gay. ;D ;D

What about one of these Suzuki 650 Burgmans TQ? (sounds like "Bird-Man" if you say it fast, he he) 650cc, twin cylinder, fuel injected and 11.2:1 compression ratio? I reckon if you bought one for your wife, she'd probably kick your ass! (it's no uglier than a K7/K8 either) Cheers, "Helpfull" Terry. ;D

El Huero Loco

Just because 50-cent sells CD's does not make whats recorded on it music.  The ladies just like to be in the back seat sort of like "Driving Miss Dasiy".  My wife would have throw pillows, dingle balls, dice, bobble heads and a head rest back there if I offered them.

I voted for K/Q seat too. But the super long sissy bar (watch out for that bridge!) should be on the list too.

How long is super long?? I have a bar that is about 1 foot tall if measured from the seat. It works good and is not one of those twisted bar styles.

I have a 16 inch sissy bar and a rear rack.  i like them both.  The rider does not panic on a lerch and they don't seem to wobble when riding as much.  The rack is used every day hauling something in my backpack.  I was glad to get the pack off my back.  I am looking for a nicer rack with good crome for my K8.

Oops, this sounds like a "How long is your Sissy Bar" poll, I've got a NOS sissy bar and backrest that's been hanging in my garage for years that I'm gonna put on my K1, I reckon it's about 2 feet long? Looks pretty cool on a cruiser, but I wouldn't put one on a stocker, pee-ooo! Cheers, Terry. ;D
